Driver attempting to flee from traffic stop hurt in crash

OSBORN, MO – A St. Joseph man is badly hurt after an officer-involved pursuit ended Sunday evening with a vehicle accident in Dekalb County. State troopers say Matthew Pfleiderer, 30, was not wearing a seat belt when he attempted to turn north at the intersection of Route 36, and 33, north of Osborn. The vehicle failed to make the turn and hit an embankment off the roadway. The vehicle, however, continued north for one mile until it was located by law enforcement.

Two Teens Injured in Daviess County Collision with Horse-Drawn Buggy

An accident in Daviess County involving a horse-drawn vehicle injured two teenagers Sunday night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the horse-drawn vehicle was turning southbound on Route J, approximately 2 miles north of Kidder around 10:25 pm when it was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by 38-year old Ryan Arnold of Hamilton.

One of the teenagers injured was listed as a driver of a horse-drawn conveyance, 19-year-old Namoi Herschberger of Kidder, who had what was called a serious injury.
