MORROW, Ga. — A sweet photo shows a metro Atlanta police chief comforting a crying child after her mother’s boyfriend was arrested during a traffic stop. Morrow Police shared the photo of Interim Chief Snively that they say he was unaware was being taken at the time. The department said that they responded to assist an officer with arresting a driver.

The defendant faces charges of second-degree murder and unlawfully possessing a firearm.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office made 2 arrests in connection to drugs Tuesday evening. According to a release from MCSO, officers received a tip in reference to drug sales at America’s Best Value Inn in Forsyth. Investigators found that there were 2 people from out of state involved– Jonathan Daniel Lopez of Miami, Florida, and Amy Patton of Morristown, Tennessee. Lopez was out on bond after previously being arrested in June of last year by the Peach County Sheriff’s Office for trafficking methamphetamine.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (CBS46) - A Clayton County man is lucky to be alive after a driver narrowly missed crashing into him outside the man’s home. Amerido Berrios refuses to walk inside the front of his house because he’s afraid he might fall through the floor. On Saturday, as he was taking out of the trash, Berrios heard the revving of a car. Berrios looked and saw a vehicle headed right for him and his home, located in Deer Creek, a mobile home park in unincorporated Stockbridge.

The Upson County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to conduct an independent investigation on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. One man was shot and died. No deputies were injured during this incident.

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Up to a half-dozen suspects made off with tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of liquor during a Henry County heist.
