Who else misses events? I know I do! I'm so excited as 2021 continues on there's seeming to be a light at the end of this pandemic tunnel. I'm also excited to see the slow return of events to the area. One event that's always a lot of fun is the Downtown Henderson Porchfest.

As we continue to slowly but surely begin to return to some kind of normal, community events are being planned and those plans are beginning to roll out to the public. One of those events is what has been described as "Evansville's largest street sale" and it's slated to take place next month in the heart of downtown. Organized by the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District, the event will span Main Street from Second Street to Fifth Street with vendors stretched end to end occupying 20-foot x 10-foot booth spaces.

I'm not sure about you, but I am missing live music something fierce! There's nothing like the rush you get at a concert watching your favorite band perform, and singing along to your favorite songs. While I'm not sure when we'll be able to go to full scale concerts again (although with the vaccine rollout, and social distancing guidelines loosening, I'm hoping we'll be seeing concerts again sooner, rather than later), there's some great opportunities to see some great live music here locally on a much smaller scale, which is safer for the time being.

If you know me, you know that I'm a rule follower. I'm also the one that rats you out if you do something wrong. This is especially true if I've had to figure out who did something, like making a mess in our work kitchen. Yes, I've rattled on my coworkers, even Bobby. So, it makes sense for me to finally tell on myself.
