Alabama's Nick Saban Denies NCAA Recruiting Rules Violation

ESPN’s Alex Scarborough reports that Alabama head coach Nick Saban denied they violated NCAA rules recruiting former Louisville Cardinal wide receiver Tyler Harrell. The allegation surfaced during an interview Louisville coach Scott Satterfield gave to 247Sports last week. Satterfield said he believes there was tampering with Harrell but didn’t have the evidence to prove it.

Daleville blasts Abbeville in five innings

The Daleville Warhawks defeated Abbeville 23-7 in five innings March 24. The Warhawks scored seven runs in the first two innings and never looked back. Bryan Beckwith led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk and stole second. Jesse Holtcamp reached base on an error by the catcher. Blake Moore hit a line drive to left field scoring Beckwith with Holtcamp advancing to second. Holtcamp then moved to third on a balk and Nic Duerst followed with a single to left centerfield scoring Holtcamp. After stealing second, Duerest scored before the end of the inning for the Warhawks to lead 4-2 at the end of the first.
