FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Funeral arrangements were announced on Saturday for the three officers killed during Thursday’s shooting in Floyd County. Visitation for Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy and Martin Fire Department Fire Chief William Petry will be Sunday, July 3, at 6 p.m. at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky. The visitation will continue all day on Monday, July 4.

Funeral services announced for first two officers killed in Allen standoff

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Funeral arrangements have been set for the first two officers killed after they came under fire by a man barricaded inside his home Thursday night. Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy William Petry, 60, and Prestonsburg Police Capt. Ralph Frasure, 60, were shot and killed during the standoff. Lance Storz, 49, who recently moved to Allen, is in jail, charged with their murders.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ)- A third officer has died from his injuries after a mass shooting in Floyd County, Kentucky. Prestonsburg Police Officer Jacob R. Chaffins has died from his injuries. Nonprofit gives injured Norton chief $10K, honors slain officers

NORTON — As Norton Police Chief James Lane continues his recuperation, organizations and the public keep remembering what happened to him just over a year ago. Lane received his latest recognition Saturday from the nonprofit organization Running 4 Heroes.
