FARGO (KFGO KVRR) – The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a laser was pointed at a North Dakota Highway Patrol airplane Saturday night. Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says it happened while the airplane was conducting a speeding surveillance operation with local law enforcement over Fargo and West Fargo.

Man dies after being pulled from burning car near Tower City

(Buffalo, ND) -- One man has died after a vehicle fire Sunday morning off I-94. The Cass County Sheriff's Office says they, along with six other agencies were called to the eastbound lane of the highway near mile marker 313 around 9 a.m. for reports of a car on fire.

NDHP airplane busts another street racer

North Dakota Highway Patrol aircraft harassed by laser from West Fargo residence

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - While conducting an aircraft traffic enforcement detail in Fargo, a green laser was being used to harass a NDHP aircraft. The pilot learned that additional aircraft in the Fargo area were being harassed by a green laser as well. The NDHP aircraft pinpointed the origin of the laser to an address in West Fargo. The West Fargo Police Department then responded to the residence and interviewed the occupants.

Several road closures planned for Fargo, West Fargo

(Fargo, ND) -- Several road closures and projects are set to get underway and continue in the FM Metro beginning Monday. - Beginning Monday, contractor crews will conduct asphalt patching on 12th Street E. north of 4th Avenue E. The road will be closed or reduced to a single lane intermittently through Tuesday, June 28. Signed detours and traffic control will be in place. This work is part of a rehabilitation project to repair nine aging sanitary sewer lift stations north of 13th Avenue.

I-29 motorcycle crash results in serious injury

A 67-year old Grandin man suffered serious injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle on I-29 Friday afternoon. The North Dakota Patrol says the rider was heading north at speeds of 65-70 mph when the motorcycle began to wobble. The crash occurred about a mile south of Gardner around 3:00 p.m. The rider was transported by helicopter to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

(Gardner, ND) -- A Grandin man suffered serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle just north of Gardner on I-29 late Friday afternoon. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 67-year-old was riding his Harley Davidson northbound on the highway around 3 p.m. going 65 to 70mph when the bike began to wobble. The rider then laid it down, and was seriously hurt.
