Sheetz lowers gas prices to $3.99 ahead of holiday weekend

Sheetz, a chain of convenience stores known for its coffee and custom food, is also now being recognized for its low gas prices to help ease the pain at the pump. Starting Monday, Sheetz will reduce the price of fuel to $3.99 a gallon for unleaded 88 and $3.49 a gallon for E85.

Gourmet popsicle food truck opens first Ohio franchise in Dayton

A food truck specializing in fruity and creamy flavored gourmet popsicles is opening its first Ohio location in the Dayton area. Armando and Augustina DeLeon, franchisees of Frios Gourmet Pops, are introducing the gourmet popsicles to the community this weekend. Frios Gourmet Pops will be at the Kettering Cruise-In on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. The car show is located at the Kettering Towne Center, 2120 E. Dorothy Lane, across from Delco Park.

Family-owned Ohio restaurant closes after 24 years due to worker shortage

A popular family-owned restaurant in Ohio closed its doors for good this week because the owner could not find enough workers to keep the eatery in business. With so many restaurants struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic, it's not surprising to hear that yet another one is closing its doors. The Wellington Grille in Beavercreek, Ohio, has closed its doors after 22 years in business.

New restaurant expected to open in former location of El Greco’s Pizza Villa

A new restaurant is expected to breathe new life into a building that previously housed a restaurant with a long-standing reputation in the Dayton community. Tina Casey, a Dayton native and pastor at House of Deliverance in Hamilton, submitted a conditional use application to the city of Trotwood to open D’oir’s Restaurant and Lounge at 3976 Salem Avenue where El Greco’s Pizza Villa was formerly located.
