Todd Davis Barclay Aitken 4/29/1969 - 9/27/2022

Todd Davis Barclay Aitken left us all too soon, at the age of 53, on September 17, 2022, in Walnut Creek, CA, following a short illness. Todd was born April 29, 1969, in Berkeley, CA, to Bonnie Davis Aitken and Ian R. Aitken. He grew up in Auburn, CA, graduating from Placer High School in 1988. Following school, Todd briefly worked for the California Conservation Corps before relocating to Benicia, CA, where he worked for many years for Solano Diversified Services, as a landscaper. As a child, Todd was adventurous and fearless. He loved trains and large construction machinery, pointing the rigs out by name when passing construction sites. He even figured out how to start up a bulldozer while exploring a site as a young boy! Todd had numerous pets during his childhood, including a horned lizard that he caught and kept in a terrarium; every morning Todd could be found in the field next door, catching grasshoppers for his lizard’s meals. With his sister and friends, Todd had great fun playing in and exploring the pastures, woods and ponds of the semi-rural area where they lived. Todd was active in cub scouts and swam with the Auburn Robalos swim team. During high school, he joined Key Club and ran on the cross-country team. Todd was especially proud of his participation in the Special Olympics.
