Tornado warning issued for portions of western Maine

RANGELEY, Maine — The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of western Maine, including Rangeley, Salem and Phillips Saturday evening. The warning was issued at about 7:30 p.m. because radar indicated a possible tornado. The storm was also capable of producing quarter sized hail. The tornado warning was dropped at about 7:50 p.m.

Maine Game Warden and K9 Find Missing 11-Year-Old St. Albans Girl

A Maine Game Warden and his K9 worked together to locate an 11-year-old girl who went missing on Friday. The girl had gone missing at around 9:00 Friday morning from her home on the Square Road in St. Albans. The girl's family began looking for her at around 9:00 in the morning and then called 911 when they found no sign of her. Members of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office were first on the scene and they quickly requested K9 assistance from the Maine State Police and Maine Warden Service.

Maine warden, K9 find girl missing from St. Albans

ST ALBANS, Maine — An 11-year-old girl reported missing from her home Friday morning was found several hours later by a Maine game warden and his K9. The girl wandered away from her home on Square Road in St. Albans at about 9 a.m., and family members called 911 for help at about 10:15 a.m., according to a release from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
