St. Joseph woman dies while in custody, SJPD investigating

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph woman died while in police custody over the weekend. According to the St. Joseph Police Department, Lacey Fanning, 20, was arrested in reference to an investigation. After being booked into custody, Fanning showed signs of a medical condition and was transported to the hospital. She was treated but later died.

COLUMBIA − Columbia Police announced Tuesday arrests have been made in connection to an infant found dead in August 2019 near McKnight Tire. Columbia police identified Samone J. Daniels as the victim. She was 4 to 5 months old at the time of her death and her remains had been inside the tire since 2017, according to CPD.
