Waterline, Central Ave., projects to begin

Beginning the week of July 11, some larger capital projects will begin for the City of Grant, according to City Superintendent Edward Dunn, who updated the Grant City Council of the projects during its meeting on Tuesday, June 28. These projects include the water main replacement project on the west side of Grant, and the Central Avenue gutter, curb and sidewalk project. Concrete work to the street north of the high school from Sherman Ave. to the west end of the bus barn started on July 5.

“The Collier House” is Grant’s newest Bed & Breakfast

One of Grant’s oldest homes is now serving as the newest bed and breakfast in town, owned and operated by Bob and DeeAnn Tatum. “The Collier House” as DeeAnn calls it, was the first site-built home in Grant. Jury pool is called for German murder trial

Last games before tournament starts for PeeWee

Imperial’s PeeWee teams wrapped up their regular seasons last week and will play their tournament in Ogallala this week. Imperial 1 is the single elimination tournament’s top seed.
