HYANNIS – Several injuries were reported in a traffic crash in Hyannis about 9:30 AM. The crash happened on Iyannough Road (Route 132) north of Phinney’s Lane. EMTs were evaluating the victims but no serious injuries were reported. Traffic was tied up in the area. Barnstable Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Barnstable Police seek missing juvenile

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are seeking a missing juvenile. Aiden Sanders was last seen in the Main Street area of Hyannis last Wednesday. Aiden is described as a 16-year-old white male who is 5;9″ tall and 140 lbs. He has light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Yankees hat, black shorts and a black shirt. Police say Aidan has Family in Orleans, and travels off Cape Cod to the Boston, Roxbury, Norwell area. Hyannis man arrested for unlawfully carrying a firearm, charged as armed career criminal

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police report that on Monday at approximately 9:00 AM, they received a 911 call reporting a man walking around the Village Green Apartment with a gun. Barnstable Patrol Officers and Detectives responded and encountered 34-year-old Randy Newell, of Hyannis, on the property. During the investigation a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol was recovered along with 7 rounds of ammunition. Newell was arrested and transported to the Barnstable Police Department and then transferred to Barnstable District Court where he was arraigned on charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm, unlawfully carrying a firearm subsequent offense, possession of ammunition without an FID, and firearm violation with 3 prior violent/drug crimes. Newell was held without bail pending a dangerous hearing scheduled for July 6, 2022.
