Police arrested 23-year-old Jesse Curren after police received a complaint on May 26, 2022, that someone in an older Chevrolet Tahoe was doing donuts in his corn field, destroying it.

Alumni elect Vivian Winston as trustee

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University alumni have elected Vivian Winston to her first term on the IU Board of Trustees in an election that closed June 30. Winston received 8,196 out of 16,302 total votes. Josh Kornberg received 4,351 votes, and Sandford S. Kunkel received 3,755. Winston will serve a three-year term on the board.

Man arrested after sending text messages in violation of protective order

A Heltonville man was arrested after police say he violated a protective order. Police arrested 33-year-old Kalynn Ault on a charge of invasion of privacy. According to a probable cause affidavit, on June 9th a woman reported Ault had been sending her several text messages in violation of a protective order she had filed against him in April 2022.
