Tractor-trailer carrying Mountain Dew flips I-79 clean up underway

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. – A tractor-trailer crash Thursday afternoon injured one person and sent cans of Mountain Dew along a portion of the I-79 median at mile marker 108. The truck was northbound when it flipped on its side launching the cans from the trailer into the median. Police said there was a driver, his wife and a dog, but did not specify who was transported for treatment.

Clarksburg stores find loophole in ordinance to sell drug paraphernalia

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - There’s a controversy with glass smoking pipes being sold in Clarksburg. Now a city councilman is calling businesses out. As we first told you back in April, the city of Clarksburg adopted a state ordinance prohibiting the sale of pipes that can be used to smoke meth. Local man drives into porch, arrested for DUI

BUCKHANNON— Joshua Taft Woody, age 35 of Buckhannon, was arrested on Wednesday, June 22, and is currently facing a charge of DUI controlled substance second offense. According to the criminal complaint, Buckhannon Police Department Sergeant Dewaine Linger filed that the defendant allegedly drove a 2008 Ford F250 into the porch of a residence located on Vicksburg Road. When Sergeant Linger arrived at the scene, the defendant allegedly appeared to be under the influence. At that point, Sergeant Linger administered the standard field sobriety test, in which the defendant failed the one-legged stand and the walk-in turn.
