The Manitowoc Police Department has reported the arrest of a man who fled from police and admitted to stealing a vehicle. The police report states that an officer was on patrol in the 2600 block of South 10th Street at around 2:45 Friday morning (June 24th), when he saw a vehicle make a turn, and squeal its tires.

Fond du Lac man taken to hospital after early morning incident

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Fond du Lac Police are investigating two early morning incidents, one of which a man was airlifted from the scene by Theda Star. According to officials, the first incident happened Monday around 1:06 a.m. when they received a 911 call and responded to the 300 block of Forest Avenue for a report of a person shot multiple times inside a residence. The call led to a large police presence including an armored vehicle, drone, robot, and K-9 Unit. Police contacted the alleged victim, a 30-year-old man, and Fond du Lac resident and it was determined there was no shooting.

Sheboygan Man Killed In Overnight Crash On I-43

OOSTBURG, Wis. (WHBL) – Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputies say a 64 year old Sheboygan man was killed in a rollover crash early Monday morning near Oostburg. It was around 2:20 this morning when dispatch got a 911 call about a single vehicle crash near County Road Double-A in the Town of Holland. When crews arrived, they found the car was northbound on I-43 when it went into the median, hit a guard rail, and rolled several times. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash caused the southbound lanes to be closed for a time – the accident remains under investigation, but a press release says that alcohol appears to be a factor. The name of the victim is being withheld until the family is notified.

Fond du Lac Police are investigating two early morning hour incidents. Initial information led to a large police response which included the deployment of an armored vehicle, drone, robot, and K-9 Unit. Police contacted the alleged victim, a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man and eventually determined there was no shooting. The man admitted to drug use and was transported to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At 2:22 a.m. police and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to a 9-1-1 call for assistance in the 300 block of W. Division Street. Theda Star medical helicopter was requested for a 32-year-old Fond du Lac man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man was flown by helicopter to a hospital with what are believed to be life threatening injuries. The investigation into this incident remains under active investigation.
