Home destroyed in fire, authorities say

Fire destroyed a house Tuesday afternoon northeast of Summersville, authorities said. The house on Highway YY (which is off Highway JJ) was fully engulfed as firefighters responded. Mountain View’s fire department was called to assist, but Summersville volunteers found the home destroyed.

West Plains Teen Injured in One-Vehicle Crash

Mountain View, MO. – A 17-year-old teen from West Plains has been injured in a one-vehicle accident that happened on Sunday, June 26th, at roughly 4:30PM. The 17-year-old female was driving a 1999 Mazda Protege, going Northbound on Missouri Highway 17, 5 miles South of Mountain View, when she crashed. Doctor leaving TCMH clinic in Licking to join clinic at West Plains

Dr. Douglas Crase is leaving Texas County Memorial Hospital’s clinic in Licking and will begin seeing patients Aug.15 at the Burton Creek Rural Clinic in West Plains. Crase is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where he received Clinical Clerkship Letters of Commendation in OB/GYN and Neurology. He specializes in family medicine including full obstetrical services for expecting mothers.

Electrical pole successfully changed off Oak Street by city

City workers successfully changed out an electrical pole Tuesday night across from Houston City Hall on Oak Street. A small portion of the downtown business district was without power beginning at about 6 p.m. The outage had earlier been announced to those affected.

AVA, Mo. (KY3) - A rural health care group is hosting an event to offer free health care. Missouri Ozarks Community Health and The Delta Regional Authority Defense Department South will host the Central Missouri Wellness Mission to provide healthcare at no cost to patients. Raymondville teen injured in accident

A Raymondville teenager was hurt Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash east of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. Cpl. Travis Brown said an eastbound 1994 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 16-year-old Raymondville girl was stopped for a vehicle turning left. A 2007 Ford Edge operated by Cassidy N. Robertson, 23, of Houston, approached and struck the Jeep in the rear. The wreck was about two miles east of Houston on Highway B.
