(WATE) — A new multibillion-dollar contract for the management of the Y-12 National Security Complex and the Pantex Plant in Texas is canceled, according to the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. Plans are now being made to put each location up for contract separately.

Charles Franklin Huffine, age 85, passed away quietly at his home on May 12, 2022. Charles enjoyed hunting, Indian artifacts, fishing, and spending time with his friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Adell “Penny” Huffine; 9 brothers and sisters, except his only living sister Trula Kathleen Hutsell, who is 98 years young. Thomas “Martin” Roberts age 74 of Harriman, TN passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Martin was a Hunter Safety Course instructor for T.W.R.A for 30-plus years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Some of his favorite days were spent on the lake fishing with family and friends and especially with his grandchildren. He loved any sport that involved the Tennessee Vols, and he was a gifted storyteller. Martin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, he never met a stranger and was loved by many.
Ronnie Bertram passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Formerly of Sunbright, Tennessee, Ronnie was the son of the late B.J. and Cassie Bertram and brother of the late Sam A. Bertram. After graduation from Sunbright School, Ronnie served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, he settled in Channahon, Illinois where he married the now deceased Margaret (Peggy) McCoy Bertram and worked for Caterpillar until his retirement. He relocated to Oliver Springs, Tennessee in 2004.
