BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Three were arrested Monday after the Glasgow Police Department responded to Bryan Street in reference to a small child playing alone on the road. Drew Sims, 27, of Glasgow, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of control substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - After more than 60 years, a memorable billboard in Cave City is currently on the ground. Scott Sendtko, Co-owner of Crystal Onyx Cave. says, ”We are just a small mom and pops business. Unfortunately, we don’t have the revenues to go and buy billboards on 65 to advertise for that, so any billboard we have is critical.”

An Indiana man was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital following a motorcycle accident that occurred on Lakeway Drive Saturday evening. According to Russell Springs Police, Terry W. Smith, age 67, of Perin, Indiana, was operating a 2008 GMC Yukon and attempted to turn left into Coe’s Steakhouse at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when he turned into the path of 44-year-old Michael Cochran, of Liberty, Indiana, who was operating a motorcycle.

A couple of Russell County residents were recently indicted by an Adair County Grand Jury, according to court records. Michael G. White, of Russell Springs, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree, third or subsequent offense (methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police second degree, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening third degree, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, possession of marijuana, and no or expired license plate tags.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Millerfield Road and Edgar Jessie Road. Through investigation it was determined that a 2017 KIA Soul, operated by Cara Hadley of Columbia, was attempting to make a U-turn at Edgar Jessie Road and turned into the path of a 2011 Ford Van.

On Friday June 24, 2022. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded 20 miles North to the 5400 block of Speck Ridge Road in Elk Horn, Kentucky. Adair County Sheriff’s Deputy Derek Padgett and Deputy Chandler Staten responded to a call of assistance where a male was trapped under a vehicle, due to the vehicle falling on him.

Donald Richard Nuckols, 81, of Glasgow passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Glasgow on March 24, 1941, to the late Kenneth Nuckols and the late Ruthine Edwards Nuckols. Donald worked hard his whole life. Soon after college, he and his dad began building houses and Donald made a lifetime career of being a skilled carpenter. He was a longtime member of the Siloam Baptist Church.
