Dickey County school bus crash resulted in 1 injured

DICKEY COUNTY, N.D. (KXNET) — A pickup and two school buses were involved in a crash that resulted in one person injured. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup was slowing down to make a left turn on Highway 281, about 8 miles north of Ellendale, when a school bus hit the brakes and swerved right into the ditch to avoid hitting another school bus, in front of it.

Rusty (Elden) Kamletz

Rusty (Elden) Kamletz, 92, of Edgeley, ND, passed away June 24th at Sanford Hospital. Rusty was born April 7th, 1930, west of Grand Rapids, ND. He was the 8th of twelve children to Lou and Gladys (Gilpin) Kamletz. He attended school in Berlin thru the 8th grade. He was baptized and confirmed at Willow Grove Methodist Church.

Ronald Trapp, age 78, of Marion, ND, died Sunday, June 26th at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, ND. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 1st at Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Litchville, ND. Fletcher Willprecht Strikes Out Thirteen in Post 36 Win

OAKES, N.D. ( – The Oakes Post 36 Legion baseball team dominated the Edgeley Post 146 Legion baseball team by a final score of 11-5. Despite the high amount of runs, it was the pitching that was the headline of the day for Post 36. Starting pitcher Fletcher Willprecht was dominant, to say the least with 13 strikeouts in six innings pitched in the win. He had an immaculate inning (nine pitches for nine strikes leading to three strikeouts) in the top of the second inning, which was one of the two innings where he struck out three batters. Willprecht also allowed just three earned runs, three walks and six hits and picked up the victory.

Oakes Legion Game vs. Edgeley Tomorrow is Postponed
