Dirt Biker Community Discussion Makes Headway

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury city councilmember April Jackson hosted a community discussion Tuesday night at the VFW in Salisbury to discuss the dirt bikers who weave in and out of traffic. Church leaders, motorcyclists and law enforcement came out to discuss possible solutions. Though dirt bikers were a no-show. Raeshema Hitch says she knows some of the dirt bikers who she said would never come knowing law enforcement would be in attendance.

Body camera footage released in fatal police shooting in Westover

The Maryland Office of the Attorney General has released body-worn camera footage from a police-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a Salisbury man. William Robert Brink, 24, was shot by law enforcement on April 25 in Westover. The Delaware Department of Agriculture honors another set of Century Farms in the state. The Century Farm Program honors farming families who have owned and farmed their land for at least 100 years. Tuesday evening sports update

The Chincoteague Lady Ponies played the Nandua Warriors on Tuesday. The Lady Ponies won the game by a score of 6 to 1. Alex McComb got the start and the win for the Lady Ponies. McComb pitched all 7 innings and gave up 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 13 batters. Offensively the Lady Ponies were led by Emma Jackson who went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 rbi’s. Allie Bell went 2-2 with a double and 2 rbi’s. Alex McComb went 1-3 with a home run. Reghan Hintz got the start on the mound and the loss for the Lady Warriors. The Lady Warriors were led by Kylie Killmon who went 2-3 at the plate. The Lady Ponies move to 14-0 on the season and the Lady Warriors fall to 8-8 on the season.

Salisbury hosting homecoming concert for American Idol star Jay Copeland

SALISBURY, Md. – Following his impressive run on American Idol, singer Jay Copeland is coming back to Salisbury, and the city is ready to celebrate!. City officials will host a homecoming event for Copeland on June 3rd in Downtown Salisbury. We’re told there will be food trucks, music, and a free live performance. The party will be held at the intersection of Times Square and South Division Street. Gates are opening at 6 p.m., with the show expected to start at 7 p.m.

Seaford man arrested for shots fired incident at Salisbury restaurant

SALISBURY, Md. – A Seaford man is behind bars following a shots fired incident outside a Salisbury restaurant. Shortly after midnight on May 7th, officers responded to Mojos on E. Main Street for a report of shots fired. Officers found multiple patrons leaving the business on arrival, and spoke with representatives of Mojos, who reported that a male patron had removed a black-colored handgun from his waistband and waved it in a provocative manner for other patrons in the business to see. The suspect then reportedly left the business, fired a single gunshot in the air while outside, and fled the business on foot. The suspect was seen fleeing the area in a vehicle a short time later.

Meet Bubba! This adorable bunny is a mini rex mix and is about a year old. He’s a petite bunny that’s weighing in at just two pounds, but he has a big personality. Bubba is available for adoption through the Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center, which is based out of Rock Hall, Maryland.
