Jamie John Labat, age 46 of Marshall, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home. A formal Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at KB’s Ballroom in Ghent, and reminiscing and socializing in Jamie’s honor will continue until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in the Community Cemetery at Milroy. Hector woman injured in Renville County collision with semi on Tuesday

A Hector woman was injured when her motorcycle collided with a semi on Tuesday. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on June 15 Tammy Hean Kielty, age 59, of Hector, was northbound on Highway 4 in Renville County. At about 4:32 p.m., Kielty attempted to pass a northbound 2012 Kenworth semi-truck being driven by Nurdin Abdi Mohamed, age 45, of Minneapolis, and the vehicle collided.

Semi, SUV collide near Clara City

(Clara City MN-) 2 people were injured in a collision between a semi and an SUV in Clara City Tuesday morning. The state patrol says at 6:20 a.m. an SUV driven by 18-year-old Silvio Ramirez of Minneapolis was eastbound on Highway 7 and collided with a semi tractor trailer which was traveling southbound on Highway 23. Ramirez was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital by Lifelink Helicopter, and his 32-year-old passenger, Alvaro Lucas of Minneapolis was taken to the Montevideo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The semi was driven by 37-year-old Travis Kuemper of Redwood Falls who was not hurt.

Prinsburg asks residents to cut water usage

(Prinsburg MN-) The Prinsburg City Council is asking for the public's help with the water levels being low in the city's wells. They are asking people to not water lawns beginning Tuesday until further notice. And they also ask people to limit water usage, although watering pots and gardens is allowed between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. They ask people to limit laundry or unnecessary water usage on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. as they will be doing repairs to the sewer treatment site.
