EATON COUNTY, MI -- Two people were killed and another was injured in a Sunday evening crash in Eaton County. Deputies from the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car crash around 9:20 p.m. May 22, at the intersection of N. Cochran Road and E. Vermontville Highway in Chester Township. An 18-year-old male driver headed south had collided with a vehicle carrying a 47-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy from Haslett, police said.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Mid-Michigan Serial Killer Don Miller has been denied parole again. Miller admitted killing four women in East Lansing in 1977 and 1978. At the time of the confession he was already serving time for sexually assaulting a teenage girl and trying to kill her and her younger brother.

LANSING (AP) — The Michigan Department of Corrections has denied parole for a convicted serial killer who confessed to killing four women in the Lansing area in the 1970s. Don Miller, 67, will next be eligible for parole Aug. 29, 2027, the Eaton County prosecutor's office said last Friday in a release. The office said it was notified last Thursday that Miller had been denied parole.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A man who shot at Charlotte police in 2021 is now facing life in prison after he was convicted by an Eaton County jury. Tuesday, an Eaton County Circuit Court jury found Justin Hyde, 29, guilty on thirteen counts relating to an incident on April 25, 2021, where he shot at officers from the Charlotte Police Department.
