Tugboat sinks near Peoria’s McClugage Bridge

PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Police say a commercial tugboat experienced mechanical problems and sank to the bottom of the Illinois River Saturday. Fondulac Park District Police chief Michael Johnson said it happened in the channel just north of the McClugage Bridge, near the narrows at mile marker 166.

PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - A man accused of murder is in the Peoria County jail awaiting bond as of Saturday afternoon. Around 11:30 PM March 8, Peoria Police responded to W. Beverly for a ShotSpotter alert. That’s where they found Timothy Foreman, Jr., 40, laying in the roadway with a gunshot wound, pronounced dead at the scene. It marked the city’s fifth homicide of the year. During the investigation, detectives identified Chazier Johnson, 22, as a suspect.

PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested a man Friday for the shooting death of 40-year-old Timothy Foreman Jr. According to a release from the PPD, officers located 22-year-old Chazier Johnson on N.
