NYPD Commissioner: Suspect charged in death of taxi driver Kutin Gyimah

NEW YORK -- One person has been charged with manslaughter in the death of taxi driver Kutin Gyimah, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said Thursday. Gyimah was beaten to death last week by passengers who refused to pay their fare and tried to rob him in Far Rockaway, according to police. Before the arrest, police released surveillance video appearing to show five suspects beating Gyimah. One suspect was identified as 20-year-old Austin Amos, but police did not immediately name the person who was charged. Gyimah leaves behind his wife and four young children.
