A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with another vehicle on Saturday afternoon in North Hampton, New Hampshire. State police said they were called to the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Woodland Road around 3:45 p.m. along with North Hampton police and fire for a report of a car crash.

Greasy Pole competition returns to Gloucester

GLOUCESTER – A beloved New England tradition returned for the first time since 2019.The Greasy Pole competition was held Friday in Gloucester. Men and women try to be the first to make it to the end of the 45-foot slippery pole to capture the flag at the end. WALTHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - Friends and family of a three-year-old boy found dead in a Lowell pond held a memorial for him in Waltham Saturday. Harry Kkonde went missing from his babysitter’s home in Lowell on June 14 and was found in a nearby retention pond the next day.

Boston woman charged with drunk driving after motorcyclist killed in New Hampshire crash

NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. – A Boston woman was arrested and charged with drunk driving Saturday afternoon following a fatal crash in New Hampshire.It happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Ave. and Woodland Road in North Hampton. Police said 38-year-old Jennifer McCoy of Boston was driving a BMW when she entered the intersection and crashed into the operator of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.The motorcycle operator was rushed to an area hospital but did not survive.McCoy and her passenger, a juvenile, were taken to the hospital but did not suffer any injuries. Following the crash, McCoy was charged with driving under the influence. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Rockingham District Superior Court.

One dead in Groveland apartment fire

GROVELAND - Authorities are investigating an apartment fire that left one man dead.The fire broke out at a four-unit apartment building on Manor Drive on Friday afternoon. Groveland Police arrived at the scene first and spotted two people trapped on the second floor. Police and firefighters worked to rescue the occupants. Rescuers then found a man in a first-floor apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.The cause of the fire is under investigation. Groveland firefighters were on a medical call at the time of the fire and requested mutual aid from the West Newbury and Georgetown fire departments.
