A Guy Frees A Black Bear Trapped In His Car In Gatlinburg [VIDEO]

What would you do if you walked outside to find a massive black bear sitting shotgun in your car?. Black bears have been the topic of conversation for a few weeks here in the Evansville area. One (or more) have been spotted in White County in Illinois, Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Pike Counties in Indiana, and Webster County in Kentucky. People have spotted them strolling through their yards, which could be quite startling especially in this area. That's something you'd be more likely to see while visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I can't tell you how many times I see friends on Facebook post pictures of them encountering a black bear on vacation there. However, one man recently got more than he bargained for when he was walking outside to his vehicle while on vacation in Gatlinburg.

DUIs and Stolen Vehicles

The joys of dating were on full display Wednesday evening in Crossville and eventually Carmi as White County law enforcement was called to deal with a boyfriend who wouldn’t take no for an answer. It was just before 7pm when Sheena Garrett called officers advising her 2007 Saturn Vue was stolen from her driveway. At that time, she allegedly said she didn’t know who had taken vehicle. Officers found the vehicle on the road near Bradford Supply in Carmi with none other than Garrett’s boyfriend, 31 year old Brandon Keown behind the wheel. The officer says he turned around to go after the vehicle and it appeared Keown knew the officer was after him as he took off onto Epworth Road and eventually a County Road at a high rate of speed, at times reaching 105 miles per hour. Eventually, the officer was able to catch Keown who pulled over and allegedly attempted to bargain with officers for lesser charges. Garrett would eventually show up on scene saying she wanted to sign a complaint. Garrett reported Keown had asked her for a ride and she said to give him 30 minutes. She says a short time later, she heard the vehicle pulling out of the driveway and watched it drive off prompting her call to law enforcement. Keown is due in court this (Monday) morning at 9am. He’s facing a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass to a vehicle along with a felony charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.
