NBA World Reacts To Kevin Durant Trade Conspiracy Theory

The biggest NBA news that everyone is waiting on is Kevin Durant's next destination. The Brooklyn Nets star requested a trade late last week. Almost immediately, the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat were named as potential suitors. Other teams have also been mentioned, and at least one Denver Nuggets beat writer thinks the team he covers might be angling for a run at KD.

NJ man Scott Kologi sentenced to 150 years for killing 4 family members in 2017

A New Jersey man who shot and killed four family members with a semi-automatic rifle in a New Year’s Eve massacre was sentenced Thursday to 150 years in prison. Scott Kologi, 20, was hit with the sentence after he was convicted of four counts of first-degree murder, among other charges, earlier this year, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. On December 31, 2017, less than an hour before the new year, Kologi, then 16, shot and killed his mother, father, sister and a companion of his grandfather’s, who was considered his grandmother, according to a local report. McKenzie superb for 7 innings as Guardians edge Yankees 2-0

CLEVELAND -- — About the same time New York Yankees star Aaron Judge grabbed a helmet and bat to pinch-hit, the Guardians committed a ninth-inning error that threatened to sabotage a great win. In the moment, manager Terry Francona's emotions nearly got the best of him. “When the ball...

Rep. Mondaire Jones planned out of-state ‘mission’ to elect Dems before moving to new NYC district

Rep. Mondaire Jones said he will embark on a “mission” across multiple states after the August Democratic primary — a trip he announced before even moving to the congressional district he hopes to represent. Jones, a first-term Democrat whose current seat covers most of Rockland County and part of Westchester, has said he relocated to Brooklyn in early June after throwing his hat in the ring to represent the reconfigured 10th Congressional District. Despite not having spent much time recently among the constituents he wants to rep, the 35-year-old lawmaker said he would skip town to spread the word about the Democratic agenda following the...

Letters to the Editor — July 4, 2022

The Issue: Mayor Adams’ response to Rudy Giuliani’s report of an assault after an incident at a ShopRite. After reading the article in The Post, I had to laugh (“Eric: Charge Rudy for ‘false report,’ ” June 30). Mayor Adams, who claims to be a crime fighter, made a statement implying that it’s OK to slap someone on the back for no reason at all and not be charged. It just goes to show you how much he knows about crime-fighting. He wanted former Mayor Rudy Giuliani charged with making a false report after he saw the video of it happening. I’m no fan of...

Yankees miss Aaron Judge’s bat in rare rest day following grueling stretch

CLEVELAND — Thinking of the big picture, Aaron Boone left Aaron Judge out of his starting lineup on Sunday, even with a team day off awaiting on Monday.  It may pay dividends in the long run — and perhaps as soon as Tuesday, given how Judge has responded to rest days this season — but the Yankees missed their MVP candidate on Sunday, mustering just one hit in a 2-0 loss to the Guardians at Progressive Field.  Judge did pinch hit in the ninth inning for Jose Trevino, with two outs and two runners on, but faced a heavy dose of sliders...
