A Barbecue Benefit to help with final expenses for the family of Crystal Craft will be held on Saturday, July 2nd beginning at 11:00 a.m. until sold out at Sealy Outdoors on Recreational Road 255. Crystal Craft, 28, died in a tragic auto accident in late April on Highway 63 West.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Hosts Kids Into Fashion Camp

Th and July 21st. The camp will be from be from 9:00am to 3:00pm each day. Join us as we venture on a two-day exploration through the fashion industry. The participants will have the opportunity to learn how to reconstruct a garment, design a fashion collection, learn photography basics and start an online fashion boutique. The camp will be held at the Fort Bend County Extension Office, located at 1402 Band Rd. Suite 100, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. The camp is open to youth ages 10 to 16 years of age. House of Pies opens sixth location in Katy

On June 22, House of Pies held a soft opening for its newest location in Katy at 20802 Katy Freeway. Not only does House of Pies have varieties, such as French silk, dutch apple, coconut cream and cherry pies, its menu also includes cookies, homemade muffins, ice cream, cheesecake, fudge brownies and other sweet treats. In addition to desserts, the eatery serves a host of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, such as the Texan omelet with sausage, jalapeno, onions and cheddar; chicken pot pie and grilled shrimp salad.

Dutch Bros increases imprint in Houston, will open new location in Katy in early 2023

Oregon-based coffee shop Dutch Bros is slated to open in Katy in early 2023 at the shops at Katy Reserve on 1708 Spring Green Blvd., Katy, per a press release by NewQuest Properties. Noted as the third largest coffee chain in the U.S. and one of 10 brands to watch by location intelligence and foot traffic insight tool, Dutch Bros is a welcomed addition to the Houston market that fills “a missing category in the Shops at Katy Reserve,” said Kevin Sims, vice president of NewQuest.

A Fort Bend County pilates studio is expanding in the area with its second studio in Sugar Land. Performance Pilates announced in a June 6 news release that owners Michelle Long and Cody Robbins will open their second local spot this fall at 5128 Texas Ave. inside Sugar Land Town Square. Its original location opened at 19875 Southwest Freeway, Suite 200 in Sugar Land back in 2010.
