Georgia coroner arrested for sexual battery

EARLY COUNTY, Ga. — The coroner in Early County, Georgia is facing multiple charges, including misdemeanor sexual battery. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 51-year-old Todd Hunter was arrested Wednesday after allegations that he sexually assaulted a person at his home. Based on information obtained during the investigation, investigators believe there are other victims.

Early County and all other counties of Georgia experience cases of human trafficking, but an Albany-based group is actively at work to help victims of that criminal activity.
