Wednesday morning crash claims the life of 21-year-old Greensboro woman, police investigating

CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in the Camden-Wyoming area on Wednesday morning. On June 29, 2022, at approximately 7:51 a.m., a gray 2004 Pontiac Vibe was traveling eastbound on Willow Grove Road east of Firetower Road. For unknown reasons the Pontiac crossed into the westbound lane of Willow Grove Road and drove off the north edge of the roadway. As the vehicle exited the roadway it began rotating in a clockwise direction. After leaving the roadway the Pontiac traveled a short distance until its driver’s side door struck a utility pole. The vehicle then spun, overturned onto its roof, and came to rest in a ditch north of the north edge of Willow Grove Road.

Woman arrested after allegedly biting Dewey officer

Dewey Beach police have arrested a Townsend woman for resisting arrest after she allegedly bit an officer while in custody. About 12:15 a.m., July 2, officers were attempted to arrest a man in reference to an altercation when Kylee B. Pitts, 25, allegedly became disorderly and refused to comply with officers’ commands. When police attempted to arrest Pitts, she resisted and allegedly assaulted an officer. She continued to resist arrest as officers attempted to put her in a transport van, police said.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that three area railroad workers have agreed to pay over $75,000, collectively, to resolve claims of unemployment benefits fraud under the False Claims Act. In three civil actions filed this week, the government alleges that Shohana Culberson, of Philadelphia, PA; Keith Abele, of Levittown, PA; and James T. Billups, of Newark, DE; applied for and received unemployment benefits from the United States Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) when they were, in fact, gainfully employed.
