Israeli food truck turned away from diversity event in Philadelphia

Moshava, an Israeli food truck based in Philadelphia, announced yesterday on its Instagram that it was uninvited from the Taste of Home community event on Sunday, June 20. The food truck owners were told by event organizers Sunflower Philly, a non-profit in North Philadelphia, and Eat Up the Borders, an organization whose stated mission is to “help promote small, family, or immigrant owned businesses,” that rumors had been circulating about a possible "aggressive" anti-Jewish protest as a result of their participation.

Police find body during search for suspect in Market-Frankford Line shooting

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsadio) — Police have found a body during their search for a suspect in a Monday morning shooting on the Market-Frankford El train. Around 6 a.m., police confirm that a 27-year-old man was shot in the arm and the torso on an eastbound El train as it was approaching the Arrott Transportation Center at Frankford and Oxford avenues. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Wilmington Man Arrested for Threatening Stranger with a Gun- Wilmington

Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police arrested Robert Lewis, 72, of Wilmington, for felony aggravated menacing. On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at approximately 11:02 a.m., a trooper on patrol in the Branmar Plaza located at 1812 Marsh Road, Wilmington, was flagged down by an individual about a disturbance with a firearm. The investigation determined a 56-year-old male and Robert Lewis engaged in a verbal argument in the parking lot. During the argument, Lewis entered his vehicle and retrieved a firearm. Lewis then brandished the weapon at the victim. The victim was uninjured during the incident.

Philadelphia Police hope that a photo of a man on a green dirt bike helps them track down a killer in a suspected road rage incident in West Philadelphia last week. The 37-year-old victim was near 52nd Street and Girard Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when a gunman on a green dirt bike opened fire. The man was shot twice in the head and once in the chest. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
