O’Brien County, Iowa — A Spencer man has been arrested at a Fort Dodge prison and returned to O’Brien County in connection with a December 2020 theft case. Court records indicate that on December 21, 2020 a white Ford pickup was stolen from a Hartley residence. Less than an hour later, an O’Brien County Deputy responded to a report of a white pickup in a ditch near Sanborn, with that vehicle having left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Mass of Christian Burial for Selma Ehrhardt, 87, of Humboldt, will be held Tuesday, June 28th at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the 11:00 am Mass at the church. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery.

Robert R. Rier, 84, former owner of the Coast to Coast store in Belmond, died June 26, 2022 at his home in Clarion. Services will be Saturday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at the Clarion Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Ewing Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
