Sunday night fire destroys home in La Follette

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The call of a house fire came in to La Follette Dispatch Sunday night at 10:02. Firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department responded to the fire on North 14th Street, near the La Follette Medical Center. It was reported that the home was 75% engulfed upon arrival.

Wreck on the four lane at Towe String Road; one injured, traffic snarled

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Last week, La Follette Police arrested Randy Partin on multiple drug charges. See the related story HERE. Around daybreak Friday morning, the La Follette Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team raided the home where Partin’s father was located; 506 North 13th Street. The elder Partin, Rodney Allen, was the main target in today’s narcotics search warrant execution according to Detective-Sergeant Matthew Forsyth, and he was placed under arrest.

Daniel Boone and David Crockett football teams excited for new turf fields

The dead period is currently underway for high school football in Tennessee, but before it started two rivals had the chance to break in their new turf fields. For the past several years David Crockett and Daniel Boone have been the last two schools in Class 4A and above playing on grass in Northeast Tennessee.
