Tennessee Weatherman Shares Recipe for “Mailbox Lasagna” for Hot Summer Days

Everyone makes lasagna a little differently, but I have never heard of anyone making lasagna like this before. It is no secret that it has been hot outside. We have seen temperatures in the upper 90s and even 100 degrees at one point. That's not even taking the heat index into consideration. I remember a few years back when we were experiencing a heat wave, I decided to see if I could bake cookies from inside my truck.

Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes REVIEW | Chattanooga Film Festival 2022

It’s unclear at first whether Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes is an homage or a parody. From the start, the film is reminiscent of horror from the late 60s and 70s with opening credits in a beautifully full and curvy font. The story begins when married couple Dieter (Frederik von Lüttichau) and Margot (Luisa Taraz) arrive at a castle her uncle has left them in the middle of the night. Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes wastes no time recreating the requisite images of gothic horror as Margot walks up a large staircase with a candlestick in her hand, and ghosts lurk in the shadows all seen through a healthy sheen of film grain.

Chattanooga Film Festival 2022 Review: THE CREEPING Makes Ghosts in Sheets Scary Again

If you’re old enough to remember those movies of the week that were on television in the 80s, you know that a large part of the appeal was the fact they were creepy but not so terrifying you had to sleep with the lights on. Filmmaker Jamie Hooper’s directorial debut, The Creeping, which premiered at this year’s virtual Chattanooga Film Festival, chillingly captures the 80s spooky movie of the week aesthetic in the best way possible. The Creeping is a captivating ghost story which features a sensational cast and astonishing scares that make the film fondly reminiscent of those old school movies of the week.
