Mobile home destroyed – Powdersville

A mobile home was destroyed by fire early Friday morning in Powdersville. Firefighters from Powdersville, Wren, and Three and Twenty responded to the fire on East Pond Drive. Medshore ambulance service and a QRV also responded. The fire could be seen from two miles away before firefighters arrived. It took firefighters less than five minutes to bring the fire under control. (Photo by David Rogers)

Bacon Bros. in Greenville will soon close

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Another Greenville restaurant is closing. Bacon Bros. Public House on Pelham Road said its last day open will be Friday. Mike Porter, president and managing member, said there are several reasons for the closure including the fact that sales never fully recovered after pandemic restrictions were lifted.

Power Outage – White Plains area

More than 800 Pelzer and Williamston residents were without electricity Sunday after. Duke Energy contract worker rode the area around New Hope, White Plains, and Cherokee Road until the problem was located. Three transformers had tripped out.
