TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo Police are looking for a suspect who stole from, and assaulted a victim at Circle K on July 26. According to TPD, the victim, a 24-year-old woman, was standing in line at the Circle K on Secor holding a $100 bill when the suspect told the victim “That’s my money, give me my money!”

Man convicted in 2021 Toledo gas station murder

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A man has been convicted on charges connected to the 2021 murder of an elderly man at a Toledo gas station. According to court documents, Javontay D. Johnson was found guilty of murder and two counts of felonious assault after he withdrew his previous not guilty pleas and entered Alford pleas.

Assistance dogs prove to be valuable companions

Susan Peterson’s life changed in an instant.  “I was a 45-year-old occupational therapist and mother of three children when an artery in my neck dissected and caused two strokes,” the Cincinnati area resident said. “The strokes caused numerous issues, including multiple chronic illnesses that I now live with. I’m no longer good at thinking ‘on the spot.’” Through the help of the Ability Center of Greater Toledo and its Assistance Dog Program, Mrs. Peterson said her life is now improving after being placed with one of 11 canines that will be graduating Thursday evening during a ceremony at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Glass Pavilion. With his assistance dog Nimbus, David Casares, an Oregon resident, had an experience similar to Mrs. Peterson.
