Boxes removed, vehicles towed in FBI search of Windham home

WINDHAM, N.H. — FBI agents and other law enforcement officers searched a home in Windham on Monday but would not release any details on the investigation. People living on Glenwood Road in Windham said they were surprised to wake up Monday to a stream of cars heading into the neighborhood.

Kayla Montgomery indicted on charges of receiving stolen weapons

MANCHESTER, N.H. — The stepmother of missing 8-year-old Harmony Montgomery has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of receiving stolen property. In addition to receiving stolen property, Kayla Montgomery has been charged with fraud and perjury. None of the charges she faces are related to Harmony's disappearance.

Timothy D. Wolfe, 75

SANBORNTON — Timothy Dane "Ty" Wolfe, 75, died suddenly at his home in Sanbornton on Tuesday, 21 June 2022. He was born on December 28, 1946 in Laconia, to his beloved parents, Alden Brewster Wolfe and Barbara Ordway Bratt Wolfe. He was the oldest brother to Jennifer “Jenny” Wolfe, Heidi Ann Wolfe, Andrew “Drew” Brian Wolfe, Melinda “Mindy Lou” Wolfe, and Daniel “Danny” Alden Wolfe.

WOLFEBORO — Maxine A. Thibodeau, 92, formerly of Franklin and Tilton, died at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro after a brief illness on June 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Franklin on July 31, 1929 the daughter of Norris and Etta (Morrill) Andrews. Maxine resided in Franklin and Tilton for several years before moving to Wolfeboro to reside with her daughter due to failing sight.

Sununu rejects Democratic call for special session to codify abortion rights

CONCORD, N.H. — Gov. Chris Sununu said Monday he will not call a special legislative session to protect abortion rights in New Hampshire law. The governor said such a move isn't necessary because those rights are not in danger of changing in the state. Sununu has said he would sign a bill codifying Roe v. Wade and abortion rights if it reaches his desk, but he rejected the call from House Democrats for a special session.
