Here’s the cheapest gas in Joplin Saturday

(JOPLIN, MO) Gas prices vary across in the Joplin area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.26 per gallon. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Food Mart at 2002 S Bird Ave was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.53 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Horton's Pizza Plus at 1302 S Schifferdecker Ave, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.79.

(MONETT, MO) Gas prices vary across in the Monett area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.06 per gallon. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Casey's at 206 W Commercial St was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.73 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Conoco at 914 N Central Ave, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.79.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pittsburg police arrest a woman after they say she took a stolen vehicle to McDonalds for breakfast. Authorities say they received a stolen vehicle report Friday morning at 6:24 a.m. on the 1100 block of S Elm St. in Pittsburg. The victim reported a woman with long white hair got into his 2021 Nissan Altima and drove away. Police say the keys were left in the exterior lock of the home’s front door.

Columbia, Joplin awarded funds in local tax lawsuit

St. Louis, MO (AP) – A judge has ruled that the city of Columbia should receive nearly $54 million in a lawsuit filed against its internet and telephone services provider. St. Louis County Circuit Judge Ellen Ribaudo also awarded Joplin $1.1 million. The two cities sued Spectra Communications Group, which is owned CenturyLink, in 2014 over unpaid local taxes.
