Floyd Don Taylor of San Manuel passed away April 17, 2022. Floyd was born to Paul and Delma Taylor in Alameda, CA on May 3, 1947. He served 2 tours in the U.S. Army in 1966-1967. He retired from ASARCO and moved to San Manuel with his wife and their grandson, Daniel.

Semitruck overturns, catches on fire on U.S. 281 north of San Manuel

A semitruck was engulfed in flames Thursday after the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over north of San Manuel, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The semitruck was traveling in the southbound lanes and transporting tires north of the FM 1017, according to DPS spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Montalvo.
