Bitcoin Fund makes Nasdaq Dubai debut in first for Middle East

DUBAI (Reuters) - The Bitcoin Fund debuted on Nasdaq Dubai on Wednesday, becoming the Middle East’s first listed cryptocurrency fund. The fund, which was listed by Canadian digital asset management firm 3iQ on the Toronto Stock Exchange last year, has roughly $1.5 billion in assets under management and plans to manage double that next year.

Australian engineer Robert Pether is losing hope he will be released from the crowded Iraqi jail where he has spent almost 80 days without charge, his wife says. Amazon Payment Services, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region-based payment processing service, has launched a new FinTech lab, according to a report from Arab News. Called the Amazon Fintech Lab in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Innovation Hub, it will be used as a way to engender discussions on digital payment world along with the future of the FinTech industry.
