SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WEAU) -One person is hurt after a motorcycle crash in Pierce County Wednesday evening. According to a media release by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, on June 22 around 8:18 p.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 128 near 770th Avenue in Spring Valley, Wis. in Spring Lake Township.

HUDSON, Wis. -- Officials in Wisconsin say a driver struck a pedestrian on Interstate 94 near Hudson Tuesday night.The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the pedestrian, a 59-year-old Australian man, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries.A driver in a pickup truck struck the man just before 11 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway.The crash remains under investigation.

Barbara A. Ilvedson

Barbara Ann Ilvedson, 86, of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022, at the Hudson Hospital after a long struggle with health issues. Barbara was born in Ward, West Virginia, to Stanley and Irene Deal on May 1, 1936. She attended Nicholas County High School in Summersville, WV, class of 1954 and was a member of the Honor Society. Barbara graduated as a Registered Nurse from Charleston General Hospital in West Virginia. She was quickly promoted to the Head of Pediatric Nursing, and would remain until 1964, when she joined the Air Force. There Barbara met Ronald Ilvedson, and the couple was united in marriage on June 19, 1965. They were blessed with two children, Michelle, and Scott.
