Bodies of 4 men who died in boating accident are recovered

SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — Officials in northern Idaho have recovered the bodies of all four victims who were killed after their boat capsized on the Pend Oreille River. The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims as Gregory J. Daiker, 59, of Laclede, Idaho; Aaron J. Faulhaber, 49, of Laclede; Jason L. Maxson, 51, of Laclede; and John R. Shulte, 59, of Sandpoint, Idaho. The sheriff’s office says next of kin for all four men have been notified. KREM-TV reports the high-performance boat capsized on the river at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Boating accident victims identified

PRIEST RIVER — Bonner County Sheriff's officials have recovered the bodies of four men who died in a Tuesday boating accident on the Pend Oreille River. The four men were reported missing after the boat they were in capsized on the Pend Oreille River near Thama on Tuesday. The Thama area is about 2 miles from Priest River and about 16 miles from Sandpoint.

Victims located, identified in Pend Oreille River boat crash

SANDPOINT, Idaho — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has located and identified the people involved in the boat crash that occurred on Tuesday evening. The bodies of Gregory J. Daiker, 59, of Laclede, Aaron J. Faulhaber, 49, of Laclede, Jason L. Maxson, 51, of Laclede, and John R. Schulte, 59, of Sandpoint, were recovered from the river.

Dover community reacts to boating accident on Pend Oreille River

DOVER, Idaho – As the 4th of July weekend kicks off, boaters on the Pend Oreille River are taking precautions after the tragic boating accident on Tuesday. Many boats hit the water early on Friday. One of them was Bill Collier. He’s lived in Dover for 15 years and he says he’s never seen a boating accident quite like what happened on Tuesday.

Boating accident victims recovered, identified

The four victims lost in Tuesday's boating accident have been recovered and identified. On Tuesday night, June 28, at the time of the initial response to the boating accident, the sheriff’s office recovered the body of 59-year-old Gregory J. Daiker of Laclede.

The body of 49-year-old Aaron J. Faulhaber of Laclede was recovered on Thursday at 9 p.m., in approximately 80 feet of water, near the original accident location.
