Fight leads to deadly shooting in downtown Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man is dead after a shooting in downtown Grand Rapids. The shooting took place near the intersection of Cherry St. SE and Division Avenue. Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom says it started as a fight between two people in an alleyway. The fight spilled out onto Division Ave. & Commerce St. That’s when the suspect shot a man in his 20s and took off. Police are still searching for the suspect.
