In case you haven't heard, Louisiana has reinstated a state-wide mask mandate. This mask mandate will be enforced at any indoor facility across the state. Churches, businesses, bowling alleys, movie theaters, gas stations, restaurants, and every where in-between. Shooting at Bert Kouns Apartments Leaves One Dead

Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting that left one person fighting for their life and another dead. The shooting call came in to dispatch at 6:32 a.m. from Bert Kouns and Dean Road. SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – One person is dead and another is fighting for his life after an early morning shooting in the Summer Grove neighborhood. The shooting happened just after 6:30 Monday morning at the Residences of SpringRidge apartment homes. Shreveport Police say that two men were shot. Both victims were taken by car to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other victim was transferred to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with life-threatening injuries.

BENTON, La. – A Bossier Parish school teacher accused of sexually assaulting students at Benton Elementary School is going to trial this week in Bossier District Court. Jury selection began Monday in the trial of Aubrey Norcross, 50, who faces charges of first-degree rape, video voyeurism of child under 17, eight counts of molestation of a juvenile under 13 and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
