False report of an active shooter at a Walmart south of Colorado Springs in Fountain leads to an arrest
FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is facing a serious charge after police say he made a fake 911 call. The call came in just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday for the Fountain Walmart off Highway 85. The person calling claimed there was an active shooter. The store was evacuated, and police rushed to the scene. When officers arrived at the area, they were able to quickly determine the report was a lie.

Colorado women’s missing food trailer recovered thanks to 11 News viewers
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - After being reported stolen to the the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, a woman’s missing food trailer was recovered Wednesday morning at the Walmart along Venetucci Boulevard in Colorado Springs. The owner of the trailer, Theresa Petruna, says the trailer was found as a result of the social media pushes by KKTV 11 News.

Colorado Springs man gored by bison in Yellowstone
A Colorado Springs man was gored by a bison in Yellowstone National Park. Park officials said the bull charged at the man and his family on the boardwalk Monday near the Giant Geyser at Old Faithful. The 34-year-old man suffered an arm injury but is expected to survive. The incident marked the second goring at the park in as many months. In the last goring incident on May 30, an Ohio woman was tossed 10 feet into the air; she suffered a puncture wound but did survive. Visitors are urged to stay at least 25 feet away from all wildlife.

A 34-year-old man from Colorado Springs, Colorado was gored by a bull bison on Monday at Yellowstone National Park, not far from Old Faithful. The man was walking near Giant Geyser with his family on a boardwalk when the bull charged the group. The family did not leave the area and the bull continued to charge and gore.
