Walt Disney World will be welcoming back nearly a dozen things, including character interactions, restaurants, festivals, fireworks, tumble monkeys and a concert series. The resort has been whittling down the list of attractions and character interactions left to reopen since everything was shut down during COVID-19 and this month is another huge step. In July, the summer is in high gear as parks are staying open later, more fireworks are being added in the middle of the month and the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival kicks off.

The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors unanimously voted to extend Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek’s contract for three years. “Disney was dealt a tough hand by the pandemic, yet with Bob at the helm, our businesses—from parks to streaming—not only weathered the storm, but emerged in a position of strength,” said Chairman of the Board Susan Arnold said.
