Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged elude incident Wednesday night. A Roseburg Police report said at 11:00 p.m. an officer observed a motorcycle fail to come to a complete stop while turning left onto Southeast Washington Avenue from Southeast Spruce Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist began to elude as he headed west on West Harvard Avenue. The officer lost sight of the motorcycle and terminated the pursuit. While searching the area near West Nebo Street, the officer located the motorcycle.

Tesla intends to build a 51-stall Supercharger station close to Interstate 5 in a vacant space between a Taco Bell and Starbucks in Sutherlin, Oregon. The Oregon location is just off Interstate 5 in the Douglas County town of Sutherlin, which has 8,563 residents and is about 165 miles south of Portland. With its 51 stalls, the upcoming Sutherlin Supercharger would be one of the largest in the United States, and arguably the most expansive outside California.

ROSEBURG, Ore. (KPIC) — A 35-year-old Oregon man was charged with using traffic equipment to illegally collect parking fees for himself. According to the Roseburg Police Department report, an investigation revealed the man used an orange traffic cone, an orange protective vest, and a homemade sign on the roadway in an attempt to collect parking fees (or donations) from customers at a famers market.

On Monday, the Roseburg City Council adopted a Tent Camping Program. Information from staff said the plan is to allow tent camping to occur in certain locations in order to provide transitional housing for those in need. In order to host tent camping, a property owner must register their location and comply with the rules for the program. Tent camping is limited to properties operated by a non-profit, public or commercial entity and cannot be located in a residential zone, except for church properties that are already in a residential zone. Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged trespass incident on Tuesday. An RPD report said just after 2:40 p.m. a 61-year old was arrested after returning to a business in the 600 block of Southeast Stephens Street after being trespassed earlier in the day. The suspect was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
