In the 1920s, the question about the courthouse remaining in Charlotte or being moved to Dickson became a hot topic once again. On July 23, 1885, Conrad Berringer sold the land in downtown Dickson that the War Memorial Building sits on today to the Dickson Court. It was first used as a community park, but eventually became home to the Dickson Courthouse back when the county had two courthouses.
