Accident claims one from Licking

One person was killed Friday morning in a head-on crash north of Houston. Tpr. Marty Wiseman said a 2007 Ford Ranger driven by Pennie L. Kinserlow, 53, pulled north from a private driveway and failed to yield to a 2019 Ford F-250 operated southbound by Robert L. Forester, 32, of Licking. The vehicles collided at about 7:20 a.m. in the southbound lane.

Texas County Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

Licking, MO. – On May 26, 2022 a traffic stop by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department has led to the arrest of a pair of individuals on meth-related charges. At approximately 1:17 AM, a Texas County deputy on patrol traveling on Harry Road in the Licking area initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet truck for a registration violation. During the stop, the deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KY3) - Missouri Department of Natural Resources reminds everyone to check the DNR website before finding out if there is an advisory. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources monitors two beaches at the Lake of the Ozarks. One at Grand Glaize Marina is considered safe to swim, but one near Brumley has an advisory. It means more bacteria in the water than there should be.

Driver dies in head-on crash in Texas County

HOUSTON, Mo. (KY3) - The Missouri Highway Patrol investigates a deadly crash involving two drivers in Texas County. Penne L. Kinserlow, 53, of Licking, Mo., died in the crash. Troopers responded to the crash five miles north of Houston on Friday. Investigators say Kinserlow pulled out of a driveway, failing to yield to another driver. The vehicles hit head-on. Kinserlow died at the scene.

Bucyrus man involved in crash east of St. Robert

A Bucyrus man was involved in a three-vehicle crash in the St. Robert area Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. John P. Tipping, 39, was driving eastbound on I-44 when a 2006 Pontiac Torrent struck his 2017 Mercedes van in the rear causing a 2001 Freightliner to strike the rear of the Pontiac.

Coach Kinder retires after 29 years of teaching

Math teacher Cyndi Kinder has dedicated many years to Rolla Public Schools. This year, Kinder is retiring from teaching and coaching. “This is my 29th year [teaching] overall. I taught for two years at Bourbon High School, three years at Owensboro High School, and then when I first moved back home, I did 10 years at the junior high school,” stated Kinder. “Then this is my 14th year at RHS.”

An area man and woman face a felony drug charge after a traffic stop conducted by a Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy on Thursday, May 26. Rosella Egan, 49, of Edgar Springs, and Earl Wieprecht III, 43, of St. Robert, are each charged with delivery of a controlled substance (a class C felony).
