Hospitals grapple with vaccinating remaining employees, as some in Michigan consider mandates

About 70% of the 33,000 hospital employees at Henry Ford Health System have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The remaining 9,000 or so workers are in the process of choosing whether to get a shot or find other employment, thanks to the system’s latest policy which will require vaccination as a “condition of employment.” Employees have until Sept. 10 to complete the one- or two-dose regiments.
